A little about me and my work.

The fabric of the African landscape must be one of, if not the most diverse and varied on the face pf the earth. I am indeed fortunate to be situated more or less in the middle of it, here in the Eastern Cape, within easy reach of the most beautiful coastline on the world, lush tropical Natal, the arid semi-Karoo and the incredibly varied Orange Free State as well as the exquisite tapestry of so many human cultures.

The growing awareness of the Eastern Cape as a game farming area is drawing viewers and hunters from all corners of the earth. The area also boasts perhaps the highest concentration of pedigree livestock farmers in the R.S.A.

All this put together makes it a veritable Eden for an artist. My own life has a pedigree cattle background and my deep love for all in nature makes painting in this sort of environment not only a pleasure but also a privilege.

I have put together a small token of some of my work in the hope that something may catch your eye. Commissions make up much of my work and orders can be placed. Accompanying photographs are very practical as much of my work is done in the studio. Overseas orders can be done on canvas which can be rolled making it easy to transport.

My urgent quest is to capture as much as I can on canvas for I fear that so much of what we know and love may change or disappear forever.
